Hi!

I’m Chardae, a community builder, relational therapist and founder of Gathered in Community.

Chardae Korhonen, LMSW-C

For almost two decades, I have been on a mission to connect people to both internal and external resources that make life feel more do-able. The goal has always been to make what feels impossible, possible.

I’m a natural connector, big-picture thinker, and problem-solver. I tend to see possibilities where things feel stuck, connections where things feel disconnected, and opportunities to make complicated things a little easier to navigate. I believe most things are figure-out-able, even when we don’t have all the answers, and that we have a much better chance of figuring them out when we have the right support around us.

This belief shapes how I show up as a therapist. I see therapy as a space to get curious about ourselves, make sense of our experiences, recognize the patterns we keep finding ourselves in, and explore new ways of moving through the world. Our work might include mapping relationship patterns, practicing mindfulness and breathwork, or drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I value the balance between understanding why we do what we do and identifying what we want to do differently.

I am committed to creating spaces where people feel connected, supported, and equipped to build lives that are healthy, joyful, and fulfilling. I believe we already carry so much wisdom and capacity within ourselves and our communities. Sometimes we just need the space, resources, and relationships to access it.

I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s figure it out together.

Our Values

Agency

We believe in supporting people in recognizing their capacity to make choices and influence their circumstances, even when their options are limited.

Consent & Boundaries

We respect people’s right to determine what happens to their bodies, time, energy, relationships, and personal information.

Dignity

We believe that people are already whole and not problems to be fixed, symptoms to be managed, or diagnoses to be defined by.

Authenticity

We believe in creating space for people to discover who they are beyond expectations, roles, survival strategies, and other people’s definitions of them.

Connection & Belonging

We recognize that people need relationships and communities where they can feel seen, valued, supported, and able to participate fully.

Equity & Justice

We acknowledge that people’s experiences are shaped not only by individual choices but also by power, access, oppression, discrimination, and social conditions.

Collective Care

We recognize that wellbeing isn’t solely an individual responsibility. Families, relationships, communities, workplaces, and systems all play a role.
